La vallée des saintsPosted by Nadège Quédec (Issy les moulineaux, France) on 18 May 2006 in Landscape & Rural. Red clays which constitute pyramids, make of iron oxide, result from the change of gneisses (rocks) under the influence of the tropical climate which reigned in Auvergne in the tertiary era. The scattered blocks which sound stayed allowed the forming of what we name " young lady put on hat ". Pyramids constitute vestiges but have almost lost their hat.
